MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—The Marion County Realty Association, through their charitable fund at Marion Community Foundation, has awarded two grants totaling just over $8,000 to local organizations addressing housing issues in the Marion area.

Lynn Zucker, Executive Director of Buckeye Ridge Habitat for Humanity, accepted a $4,000 donation from Association President Christine Hinton and fellow realtor Angela Tanner Miller. The presentation took place at Habitat’s latest successful project, 263 Pearl Street. Representing Marion Community Foundation was Program Manager Kate McCleese.

The other recipient of the realtors’ generosity is Leapin’ Outreach, which also received a grant to support its housing initiatives.

The Marion Board of Realtors Fund was established at Marion Community Foundation in 2021. Each year, it awards grants to charitable organizations, programs, and projects in Marion County that promote affordable housing, stable housing, neighborhood revitalization, housing education, housing construction, housing assistance, blight reduction, housing safety, and similar initiatives.
