MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—The Friends of Marion DD Levy Committee is gearing up to host its highly anticipated Celebrity Kickball game, scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at the Marion County Board of Developmental Disabilities (MCBDD) Bigford Field.

The event will feature hand-picked community “celebrities” who have been vying for the Ultimate Celebrity title through various fundraising efforts over the past several weeks. Participants earn points for donation collections, creative nicknames, best uniform, social media hype, and the largest and loudest fan base on game night.

The celebrity accumulating the most points by the end of the evening will be awarded a trophy and bragging rights. Points are distributed across categories, ensuring a fun and engaging competition while supporting MCBDD and the Levy Committee.

The 2025 Celebrity Kickball Class includes fourteen prominent community members: Alex “Kickin’ It” Sheridan, Allen “Kickin’ It Downtown” Wilson, Chris “Kick Flair” Massey, Cory “Justice with Grace” Rogers, “Dynamite” Dane Williams, Eli “Hope Kicks” Bush, Emily “The Gem” Haas, Erin “Raise the Barbell” Slater, Gary “I’d Rather Be Reading” Branson, Jordan “Poison Ivy” Belton, Leslie “Kicks for Kids” Schneider, Liz “the Legend” Taylor, Marcela “Empanada Mama” Barrios, and Todd “Toddzilla” Schneider. All players are dedicated to supporting the work of the Marion County Board of DD.

Donations collected during the event will directly benefit the Friends of Marion DD Levy Committee. These funds are crucial for campaign materials, mailings, and yard signs, and ultimately promote and honor individuals with developmental disabilities in Marion County who require and deserve community support.

The public is invited to attend this exciting event. Celebrities will be teamed up with Special Olympic athletes for the game, adding another layer of community engagement. Festivities will commence promptly at 5:30 p.m., with complimentary hotdogs and chips available for attendees.
