MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—Over 70 employers connected with job seekers at a community job fair hosted by Ohio Means Jobs Marion and partner organizations today.

The event, held from noon to 3 p.m. at the Alber Student Center’s Greg Swepson Gymnasium on the shared campus of Marion Technical College and The Ohio State University at Marion, was sponsored by Ohio Means Jobs Marion, MTC, OSU Marion, and Troy Rivers.

Annette Walton, with Ohio Means Jobs Marion, said over 70 employers from Marion and surrounding counties participated, representing a wide range of industries including healthcare, manufacturing, law enforcement, government, retail, transportation, and staffing agencies.

Attendees were encouraged to “dress for success,” and many took advantage of the possibility of on-the-spot interviews or initial conversations with hiring managers.

Participating employers included Honda, ArcelorMittal, Avita Health System, Worthington Steel, Ohio Department of Public Safety, State Highway Patrol, Marion City Police Department, City of Tiffin Police Department, Marion City Schools, Boys & Girls Club Marion, Green Rock Solar, and U.S. Army, among many others.
