MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—Actress and singer Carly Augenstein is returning to her theatrical roots in her hometown of Marion with her first solo show, “Isn’t She From Here? An Evening with Carly Augenstein,” at the Marion Palace Theatre on Friday, Oct. 10 at 7:30 p.m.

Augenstein, who most recently finished a year-and-a-half run as a standby for Elphaba in the national tour of the musical Wicked, began her career performing on the Palace stage as a child, landing the title role in Annie when she was 10.

“The Palace reached out and asked if I would be interested in doing a show, and to be honest, that was always kind of a dream of mine since I was a little kid,” Augenstein told the Randy Bigley. “I basically spent half my childhood at the Palace doing shows and rehearsing.”

The show, which Augenstein described as a chance for family and friends to laugh and reminisce, will feature a mix of show tunes—including some inspired by her time in Wicked—and other songs she has “always wanted to sing.” She has also incorporated family and friends into the performance, including her sister and her childhood friend, Jon Baldauf, with whom she studied musical Theatre at Syracuse University.

Beyond her stage career, Augenstein has an extensive background in voiceover work for companies like Snapchat and Oakley.

Tickets for “Isn’t She From Here?” are available through the Marion Palace Theatre website or at the Palace Box Office, priced at $22, $29, $32, and $39. To follow her career, Augenstein can be found on Instagram or on her website.
