MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—The Palace Cultural Arts Association (PCAA) will showcase local youth talent next month with its 2026 Junior Palace Production of “Bringing Down the House.”
The stage comedy, written by Todd Wallinger and directed by Morgan Schwartz, features a cast of 43 young performers. The plot follows a group of creators attempting to stage a musical in a dilapidated theatre scheduled for immediate demolition. The production is described as a “musical without songs,” as a series of interruptions from politicians, protesters, and bumbling demolition crews prevent the actors from ever finishing a musical number.
Performances are scheduled for Friday, February 20, and Saturday, February 21, at 7 p.m., with a final matinee on Sunday, February 22, at 2 p.m.
The production is supported by the Marion Community Foundation, LuLu’s Toy Co., and Pillar Credit Union. Tickets range from $13 to $24 for adults and are $13 for children ages 12 and under.
Tickets are available at the Palace Box Office, by phone at 740-383-2101, or online at marionpalace.org.
