MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—The Marion Police Department and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office are joining forces this Saturday to host the “Heroes Fight Hunger” food drive, an event designed to collect donations for local food banks and directly support the community.
The food drive will be held at both Marion Kroger locations. Marion Police Chief McDonald and Officer Rector will be at the store on Delaware Avenue to accept donations from the public. Simultaneously, members of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office will be stationed at the Kroger on State Route 95 near Walmart.
The collected donations will be picked up by area food banks at the conclusion of the event.
The “Heroes Fight Hunger” food drive will run 10 a.m.-2 p.m. this Saturday, September 13.
