MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—Monday night, the Marion Police Department, alongside the Marion Prosecutor’s Office, proudly represented the city at the annual Light Ohio Blue’s Operation Santa’s Sleigh event. Over 300 vehicles participated in this heartwarming initiative, aimed at bringing joy to patients at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House in Columbus during the holiday season.

Operation Santa’s Sleigh is a statewide event that occurs at nine different locations across Ohio. First responders, along with various local and state agencies, decorate their vehicles and caravan through the designated city, ultimately arriving at a children’s hospital or a veterans’ hospital. The event is designed to uplift the spirits of those who are unable to spend the holidays at home.

Upon arrival, the caravan activates their lights, creating a festive atmosphere as attendees wave to patients through the hospital windows, sharing smiles and holiday cheer.
