MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—The 43rd Annual Marion Popcorn Festival is set to pop off with three nights of free live entertainment on its Main Stage, featuring a tribute to a legendary singer/songwriter, a rising star in country music, and a Southern Rock band. The festival will take place from September 5-7 in downtown Marion, Ohio.

HARVEST: A Tribute to Neil Young

Kicking off the festival’s main stage headline entertainment on Thursday, September 5, is HARVEST – The Neil Young Electric & Acoustic Tribute. Presented by Buckeye Community School, HARVEST performs a tribute to classic Neil Young, covering his career from Buffalo Springfield, CSNY, and solo to the modern Harvest Moon. Dillon Carmichael: A Fresh Face of Country Music

On Friday, September 6, Dillon Carmichael, a rising country music artist from Burgin, KY, will take the Main Stage. Carmichael, named one of the ‘Fresh Faces’ for 2024 by the Country Radio Seminar, has landed on Artist to Watch lists from Billboard, Rolling Stone, Taste of Country, Pandora, and more. Jackyl: Southern Rock Tour Warriors

Closing out the festival on Saturday, September 7, is Jackyl, a Southern Rock band from Georgia. Jackyl shot out of Georgia spewing equal parts hard rock, heavy metal, and Southern rock. They’ve never stopped touring or recording, and with 10 million views (and growing) of “Lumberjack Song” on YouTube, the quartet is earning rabid new fans daily. All headlining bands will perform at 8:30 PM, following 6:00 PM opening bands (Friday and Saturday to be announced later) and the recognition of sponsors during the festival’s Opening Ceremonies. The Marion Popcorn Festival also includes a Popcorn Parade, a 5K Run, a Fine Arts show, crafts and vendors, a corn hole tournament, the Community Showcase Stage, a Poppin’ Party stage beer garden, a Popcorn Matinee musical performance at the historic Marion Palace Theatre, and much more.
