MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—The Marion Public Library is once again offering its Adult Lifelong Learning (ALL) program, providing local residents with an opportunity for continued education through a series of short courses.
The fall program, which is open to anyone 18 and older, will feature 14 classes running from Oct. 13 to Nov. 21. Each class will be led by a subject-matter expert, educator or academic faculty member and will typically consist of multiple sessions lasting an hour or more.
“The Marion Public Library’s mission clearly states we offer lifelong learning opportunities,” said Gary Branson, Executive Director of the Marion Public Library. “And with the full slate of classes, we are offering a deeper dive into subjects one might not encounter on their own. Plus, patrons are making healthy social connections.”
This season’s curriculum includes a wide array of topics, such as “Birds in Native America,” “Mathematical Diversions,” “Murder and Mayhem,” “Bourbon,” and “Tango History and Steps.” Other classes will explore “Major Pauline Cushman,” “The Trial of Bill Anderson,” and “Artifacts from the Silk Road.”
Registration for the ALL program begins Sept. 29 and can be completed at the library’s front desk. The cost for the first two classes is $25, with any additional classes priced at $5 each.
A complete list of the fall course offerings is available at the library or online at MarionLibrary.org/all. For more information, patrons can call the library at 740-387-0992 or visit their website.
