MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—The BookMarks Friends of the Marion Public Library are calling on local artists to help bring their “Sitting Pretty” fundraiser to life. The group is inviting artists to submit designs to transform chairs and stools into unique works of art. These creations will be auctioned off to support the services, facilities, and needs of the Marion Public Library.
Artists are encouraged to let their imaginations run wild, with the option to incorporate book titles into their designs. Participants can either donate their art supplies or submit receipts for materials up to $50 for reimbursement.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for artists to showcase their talent and contribute to a meaningful cause,” said a spokesperson for the BookMarks Friends. “We hope to see a variety of creative designs that will captivate the community.”
Design packets are available online at MarionOHBookMarks.org/sitting-pretty or at the Marion Public Library. All entries must be submitted by 5 p.m. on October 31, 2024, at the library.
