MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—After a few years’ hiatus, the Marion Public Library is set to host the 4th ReadLocal Author Fair on Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. This event will feature over 30 Ohio-based authors, providing a unique opportunity for readers to engage with local talent and for aspiring writers to network with like-minded individuals.

Headlining the 2024 ReadLocal Author Fair is Northeast Ohio author Amanda Flower, a USA Today bestselling and Agatha Award-winning author of over fifty mystery novels. Flower’s latest release, To Slip the Bonds of Earth, inspired by the real sisters of the Wright Brothers, has garnered starred reviews from Library Journal, Publishers Weekly, and Romantic Times. Her work has been featured in USA Today, First for Women, and Woman’s World. Flower’s first Emily Dickinson Mystery, Because I Could Not Stop for Death, was an Agatha Award winner and Mary Higgins Clark Nominee.

Flower will kick off the event with a keynote presentation at 11:00 am, sharing her journey to publication and the successes, trials, and tribulations of being an author. Following the keynote, attendees will have the opportunity to purchase books and get them signed by Flower and other participating authors from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
