MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—A Marion City School Special Education Teacher, Jodi Grafmiller, was found guilty Wednesday by a jury after she assaulted a student.

Grafmiller was a teacher at Hayes Elementary School. The student under her care was autistic and non-verbal. The incident was caught on tape.

Grafmiller, who was placed on leave as soon as the school district was made aware of the incident,  is now convicted of a fourth-degree felony punishable with up to 18 months in prison.

Grafmiller will be sentenced by Marion County Common Pleas Court Judge Matthew Frericks.
