MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—The Marion County Agricultural Society and Marion County Fair Board have announced that their annual holiday light display, Christmas by Candlelight, has been featured on the Ohio Holiday Lights Trail. This recognition highlights the magical and festive atmosphere created by the thousands of lights and dozens of displays featuring favorite holiday characters and more.

Governor Mike DeWine expressed his excitement about the Ohio Holiday Lights Trail, stating that it adds to the already enchanting holiday season in Ohio. The trail showcases various destinations across the state, allowing families to come together and experience the heart of Ohio’s communities.

Lydia Mihalik, the director of the Ohio Department of Development, which oversees TourismOhio, emphasized the tradition and joy that the trail brings. With both new and established stops, the Ohio Holiday Lights Trail has become a beloved holiday tradition for many.

The Marion display has been a part of the Ohio Holiday Lights Trail for the second consecutive year. This year’s trail features a record-breaking 70 stops, making it the largest trail to date. Visitors to Christmas by Candlelight can enjoy discounted multi-visit tickets, wagon rides, and a Santa House, among other attractions.

Christmas by Candlelight will be open from 6-9 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as from December 15-25. For more information, interested individuals can visit the Marion County Fairgrounds website.
