MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—The halls of the historic 1910 Federal Post Office will grow dim this month as the Marion County Historical Society (MCHS) hosts its 20th annual “A Night at Heritage Hall.”

The event, scheduled for Saturday, March 28, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., offers a theatrical twist on local history. Visitors are encouraged to bring flashlights to navigate the museum’s exhibits, where volunteers portraying “captivating historic personalities” will emerge from the shadows to share stories of the past.

This year’s lineup features a diverse cast of icons, including “The Vagabonds”—a famous group of travelers consisting of Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, Harvey Firestone, and John Burroughs. Other scheduled appearances include “Twilight Zone” creator Rod Serling, local figures James and Carrie Phillips, and U.S. Presidents Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and Marion’s own Warren G. Harding.

“This is a unique opportunity to see these beautifully preserved exhibits come alive,” organizers said in a statement.

Admission is available at the door. Tickets are $6.00 for MCHS members and $10.00 for non-members. Children aged 5 and under are admitted free of charge.

The Heritage Hall museum is located in the former post office building, a centerpiece of Marion’s architectural history. For more information regarding the event, the public may contact the MCHS at 740-387-4255.
