MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—The Mayor’s Senior Task Force is set to host a “Senior Summit” on August 27th at the Marion Senior Center, located at 2375 Harding Highway East. The summit aims to unite community leaders, organizations, and seniors to identify necessary action steps to support and assist Marion’s senior population.
The Senior Summit is designed as an “all-hands-on-deck” program, emphasizing communication, collaboration, and coordination. The goal is to result in practical and achievable action steps. If seniors are your passion, your participation and involvement are welcome.
The agenda for the Senior Summit includes registration and refreshments from 8 am-9 am. At 9 am, Mayor Bill Collins will make brief comments, followed by a presentation from Cassie Gregory, Executive Director of the Marion County Council on Aging. Gregory will discuss the needs and trends of seniors. The Summit will also feature breakout sessions guided by task force members as facilitators to identify action steps.
