MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—Over the past week, detectives assigned to the MARMET Drug Task Force have executed seven search warrants as part of four separate illegal drug trafficking investigations. These operations were conducted simultaneously by various detectives from the task force, with assistance from law enforcement personnel from multiple agencies.

The task force successfully removed significant quantities of contraband from the streets of Marion, including:

  • Methamphetamine: 427 grams
  • Crack/Cocaine: 124 grams
  • Fentanyl: 475 grams
  • Various controlled pills: 265
  • US Currency (cash): $26,279
  • Guns: 7
  • Vehicles: 2

Several individuals involved in these cases have been arrested and charged. Their photographs are included in this release. The investigations are ongoing, and additional arrests may occur.

“MARMET works extremely hard to remove illegal drugs and guns from Marion so we can reduce the number of overdoses we experience in our community. I am proud of the work done by these detectives and all our officers to keep Marion safe,” said Marion Police Chief Jay McDonald.

Sheriff Matt Bayles added, “Another outstanding job by our MARMET drug task force! Law enforcement in Marion County will continue to target those that want to set up shop selling drugs in our county and put them out of business.”
