Mary Ellen Wilson (nee: Rinderle), 96, of Marion, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2024. She worked for many years in the delivery department of The Marion Star, retiring at age 70.

She loved bowling with her friends and participated all the way into her 90s. She and a close circle of friends belonged to a group which was affectionately known as “Club”. Until recently, she attended Dayspring Wesleyan Church and was a regular worshipper.

She was born on November 4, 1927, in Hanging Rock, Ohio to the late Joseph Rinderle and Elizabeth (nee: Spears) Rinderle.

She was preceded in death by husband Milton Wilson and an infant daughter Linda Sue, (now with both she is reunited) sisters Margaret McClung and Rose Rush, along with brothers Charles, William, and Richard.

Mary truly loved her entire family and is survived by her daughter Pamela (Vaughn) Sizemore of Galena, son Gregg (Cinda) Wilson of Prospect, grandchildren Genene, Kylie, Crystal, Cara, Shannon, and Lance. She adored her great-grandchildren Caydence, Avery, Wesley, Turner, Lennon, Hayes, Carter, Declan, Taysen, Takoda, Christopher, Destiny, Aaron, Hannah and Lillianna,  Sisters Shirley Lamb and Wilma (Dan) Augenstine survive.

She was preceded in death by sisters Margaret McClung and Rose Rush, along with brothers Charles, William, and Richard.

Heaven will be a lot busier, now that Mary has arrived. Graveside Service will be held Tuesday October 29, at the Marion Cemetery at 11:30am with Pastor Chuck Osborne officiating. The Boyd Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the family of Mary E. Wilson in their time of mourning.

In Lieu of flowers the family has asked that any donations made in Mary’s honor be made to the Dayspring  Wesleyan Church.
