DELAWARE, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—The Delaware Police Department is providing an update regarding the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of Trenton Rollins, reported missing in March 2025.
Mr. Rollins left his Delaware residence in the early morning hours of Sunday, March 16, 2025, and was believed to be driving a blue BMW 430i, Ohio license plate KOR-6295.
Information gathered during the initial investigation indicated Rollins left of his own accord and foul play was not suspected.
On Monday, December 8, 2025, Chaos Diving, an independent search and rescue organization, located a submerged vehicle in Hoover Reservoir believed to match the vehicle associated with Mr. Rollins. On December 9, with assistance from the Columbus Division of Police Dive Team, the vehicle was recovered from the water.
During the recovery, human remains were recovered from the vehicle. Early examination suggests they are consistent with Mr. Rollins. The remains were transported to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office for autopsy, formal identification, and additional forensic testing for indications of cause and manner of death. The Delaware Police Department extends its appreciation to Chaos Diving, the Columbus Division of Police Dive Team, and all partner agencies who contributed to this phase of the investigation
