MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—The Multi-County Correctional Center is proud to announce the recipients of the Officer and Civilian of the Year awards for 2023.

The Officer of the Year is Nicholas Wall, a Corrections Officer who has been with the center since 2020. Wall was chosen by his peers for this prestigious award based on his professionalism, attendance, quality of work, knowledge, dependability, initiative, motivation, judgment, any commendations received in 2023, and his outstanding personality. He is known for his soft-spoken nature and willingness to assist his fellow employees with their work duties.

The Civilian of the Year is Terry Widder, the Maintenance Supervisor. Widder has been employed at the Multi-County Correctional Center since 2022, and he previously worked here from 2015 to 2018 as well. Widder was selected by his peers for his exceptional professionalism, attendance, quality of work, knowledge, dependability, initiative, motivation, judgment, any commendations received in 2023, and his remarkable personality. He goes above and beyond in the maintenance department, responding quickly and efficiently to get the job done. Widder also supervises two other maintenance workers and shares his extensive knowledge of maintenance with them.
The administration and employees of the Multi-County Correctional Center would like to express their recognition and appreciation for the hard work and dedication demonstrated by Nicholas Wall and Terry Widder. Their contributions have made a significant impact on the center’s operations, and they are truly deserving of these honors.
