COLUMBUS, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—This morning, Inspector General Randall Meyer released the Office of the Ohio Inspector General’s 2024 Annual Report. The report outlines the mission and responsibilities of the Inspector General’s Office, examines the office’s complaint and investigative processes and related statistics, and cites summaries of several notable investigations released from January 1, 2024, through December 31, 2024. As required by statute, the annual report has been presented to the governor and each member of the Ohio General Assembly.

Since 2011, the first year of Meyer’s appointment as Ohio Inspector General, the office has released 792 reports of investigation, issued 1,614 recommendations to agencies, and identified over $1/4 billion lost to the State of Ohio.
