BUCYRUS, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Bucyrus District is inviting community members and media to a series of open houses across its nine-county service area. These events offer a chance to tour facilities, meet local personnel, see equipment, and speak with recruiters about career opportunities.
The Bucyrus District oversees operations in Crawford, Erie, Huron, Marion, Ottawa, Richland, Sandusky, Seneca, and Wyandot counties.
The open house schedule is as follows:
- Bucyrus Post: Friday, June 13, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 3665 State Route 4, Bucyrus, OH 44820.
- Sandusky Post: Friday, June 27, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 511 Fremont Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870.
- Milan Post: Thursday, July 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., hosted at the Ohio Turnpike Middle Ridge Service Plaza, 46402 Middle Ridge Road, Amherst, OH 44001.
- Fremont Post: Friday, July 11, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 2181 West State Route 20 Bypass, Fremont, OH 43420.
- Mansfield Post: Friday, July 25, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 2221 South Main Street, Mansfield, OH 44907.
- Marion Post: Friday, Aug. 8, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 2284 Marion-Upper Sandusky Road, Marion, OH 43302.
- Norwalk Post: Friday, Aug. 22, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 300 South Norwalk Road, Norwalk, OH 44857.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is actively recruiting for Cadet Class 178, which is set to begin in September. The Patrol seeks service-minded individuals interested in a career protecting the people of Ohio. Recruits are guaranteed assignment to a post within 50 air-miles of their residence upon graduation from the academy, allowing them to stay close to family and friends.
Applications for Cadet Class 178 will be accepted through July 15. Division recruitment representatives will be on site at the open houses to answer questions and assist with the application process.
