MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—Ohio State Marion will host a public artist reception Wednesday, April 15, to celebrate the opening of its latest exhibition, Wheels in Motion: Reimagining Renewal Through Cycles of Change.
The event begins at 12:30 p.m. in the Wayne & Geraldine Kuhn Fine Arts Gallery, located in the lobby of Morrill Hall at 1465 Mt. Vernon Ave. The reception offers the public a chance to meet contributors and engage with interactive elements that explore how sustainability is taking shape across the region.
The exhibit serves as the third annual installment of the Sustainability Stories series, a creative platform designed to highlight people and projects driving environmental and community resilience in Marion County.

Wheels in Motion uses the imagery of literal and symbolic cycles—ranging from bicycle wheels to farm-to-table harvests—to examine sustainability as a dynamic process. The installation connects campus-led initiatives to a wider local network, including downtown revitalization, urban green spaces, and cycling events supporting cancer research.
Organizers have provided a printed and digital “trail guide” to accompany the exhibit. The guide maps various on- and off-campus locations, encouraging visitors to see sustainability efforts in action throughout the community.
The exhibition is supported by a wide array of local sponsors, including Keep Marion County Beautiful, Marion County Recycling & Litter Prevention, and several local agricultural and cycling businesses.
The gallery is free and open to the public. Wheels in Motion will remain on display through September 4, 2026.
