MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—OhioHealth, a nationally recognized health system, announced today that Marion Women’s Health Center joined its family of healthcare providers, effective June 30, 2024. The practice will continue to operate at its current location at 960 S Prospect Street, under the new name, OhioHealth Physician Group Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Patients’ medical records will seamlessly transfer to the OhioHealth Physician Group, ensuring continued access for their physicians. This move is part of OhioHealth’s ongoing commitment to providing high-quality care close to home.
Jim Parobek, president of OhioHealth Marion General Hospital, expressed his enthusiasm about the new addition. “At OhioHealth, we are honored to bring Marion Women’s Health Center into our family of healthcare providers,” he said.
Deepi Bathini, MD, vice president of clinical affairs at Marion General Hospital, echoed Parobek’s sentiments. “This acquisition allows us to provide our patients with the best care in a way that’s comfortable, convenient, and close to home,” Bathini stated.
Among the team joining OhioHealth is Dr. Jay Moodley, a respected physician and Army veteran who has been providing care in Marion for 30 years. “I’m excited to join the OhioHealth family of physicians and to continue to provide the same quality of care that my patients are accustomed to while supporting the Marion community and surrounding areas,” said Dr. Moodley.
Dr. Moodley is one of four providers at the practice, which includes Allie Branham, CNM, Qin Huang, CNM, and Emma Trusty, CNM. This team of dedicated professionals is looking forward to continuing to serve the Marion community under the OhioHealth banner.
