MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—A 30-year-old Marion man has died following a single-vehicle motorcycle crash early Friday morning, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred on June 12, 2026, at approximately 12:18 a.m. on Presidential Drive near Willow Street in the City of Marion.

According to state troopers, Linken J. Tyler was traveling northbound on Presidential Drive riding a 2019 Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special motorcycle when he failed to maintain reasonable control and struck a curb. The impact caused Tyler to be thrown from the motorcycle.

Marion City EMS transported Tyler from the scene to Marion General Hospital. He was later moved to Grant Medical Center via Med-Flight Ground, where he was pronounced deceased.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Marion City Police Department, Marion City Fire and EMS, and Ed’s 24-Hour Service Towing.

The crash remains under investigation by state troopers.
