MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—The Palace Theatre is excited to announce open auditions for the upcoming Junior Palace Production of The Girl with the Golden Locks, a thrilling and humorous spy adventure featuring beloved fairy tale characters in a fresh, action-packed story. This delightful production is scheduled to take the stage this spring, and preparations are underway to bring this magical world to life.

Director Morgan Schwartz and the production team invite boys and girls ages 8–16 to audition for roles such as Agent Gold, Agent Red, Chief Granny, and more. Auditions will take place on Tuesday, January 7th, and Wednesday, January 8th, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on the Marion Palace Theatre’s main stage. Participants need only attend one audition day.

Audition Requirements:

  • Actors should come prepared with a memorized poem or monologue to showcase their acting skills.
  • Wear comfortable clothing and shoes for movement as needed.
  • Roles are available for a wide variety of characters, including both leading and ensemble roles.

The Girl with the Golden Locks follows Agent Gold, a cool and collected spy from the Fairy Tale Bureau of Intelligence, as she and her team of clever agents navigate a world of intrigue, adventure, and unforgettable characters. This family-friendly production is perfect for performers seeking a dynamic and fun theatrical experience.

Rehearsals will follow a “family-friendly” schedule leading up to the performance dates. Performance dates are February 21 & 22 at 7 PM and February 23 at 2 PM.
