MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—Over the last five years, Pillar Credit Union has embarked on a remarkable journey of expansion and community integration, reflecting our unwavering commitment to serving and uplifting the Marion area and beyond. With the establishment of our second branch location next to Kroger in Mt. Gilead and the expansion of our community field of membership eligibility into Crawford, Richland, Hancock, and Wyandot counties, we’ve extended our reach while holding true to our roots in Marion. Celebrating 64 years of exemplary service, we’ve consistently prioritized financial security and unparalleled customer service for our members.

Our approach to growth is deeply intertwined with our culture of community contribution. Whether it’s forging new partnerships or reinvesting in local causes, our focus remains on making a meaningful impact.

Deepening Community Impact

In our journey, we’ve invested over $25 million in loans to support homeownership, automobile purchases, debt consolidations, and more, directly benefiting our members and the local economy. Our commitment goes beyond financial services; we’ve also made significant contributions to local schools, charities, and community programs. Notably, the donation of two previous branch locations to local nonprofits reflects our belief in supporting missions that enrich our community.

Our involvement in the Marion community is a testament to our belief in giving back. We sponsor local events like youth plays at the Palace Theater and National Night Out, Coats for Christmas, and The Peanut Push. We also created a TEACH Grant through the Marion Community Foundation to help local teachers get funding for innovative and creative learning in the classroom. Supporting our community is another way that Pillar Credit Union can support our members.
