MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—Marion City Councilman Ayers Ratliff and his wife, Heidi Ratliff, have filed a motion to amend their lawsuit against the city of Marion, introducing additional defendants in their case.
The lawsuit, now brought before the U.S. District Court, includes serious allegations against several individuals, including Marion City Prosecutor Ray Grogan.
Court documents outline claims of false arrest, wrongful imprisonment, malicious prosecution, retaliation, libel, slander, conspiracy, abuse of process, violation of civil rights, and loss of consortium.
The amended lawsuit now names several additional litigants, most notably Marion City Police Chief Jay McDonald, the law firm of Isaac Wiles, Officer Chris Adkins of the Marion Police Department, victims’ advocate Courtney Rittenour, and multiple unnamed individuals referred to as “John and Jane Does,” who are employed by or associated with the city and county.
