MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)— In our community we have many opportunities to celebrate Independence Day with fireworks displays this weekend.
In the Marion area:
- Marion’s annual fireworks display will be held at the Marion County Fairgrounds at 10 p.m. Friday, July 4. This event is part of the ongoing Marion County Fair, with viewing available from the grandstand or anywhere on the fairgrounds.
- The Prospect 4th of July Celebration in nearby Prospect, Ohio, will feature fireworks at dusk, typically around 10 p.m., on Friday, July 4, at Prospect Community Park. The celebration runs throughout the day, starting at noon.

- Mount Gilead (Morrow County Fairgrounds) at dusk on Thursday, July 3.
- Bucyrus at dusk on Thursday, July 3, downtown at the Lane Street Soccer Field.
- Galion at dusk on Friday, July 4, at Heise Park.
- Kenton (Hardin County Fairgrounds) at 10 p.m. Friday, July 4.
- Upper Sandusky (Upper Sandusky High School) on Friday, July 4.
