MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—River Valley Local Schools has declared its commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment for all students.
In a recent communication to the school community, Superintendent Adam Wickham addressed an off-campus incident involving a part-time staff member and a student.
The administration received information on January 21 regarding an alleged inappropriate relationship between a part-time staff member from River Valley Middle School and a student.
Reports indicate that the alleged conduct occurred off-campus during the summer of 2025.
Upon learning of the allegations, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office was promptly notified, and the district is fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
In response to the situation, the school took immediate action by placing the staff member on administrative leave.
Superintendent Wickham reassured the community that there is currently no evidence of any additional concerns related to this individual or any other students, either on or off campus.
