MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—A busy stretch of North Main Street will be closed to through traffic starting Monday morning to allow for railroad repairs, city officials announced.

The closure will affect North Main Street between Center Street and George Street. According to a news release, the restriction is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. on Monday, March 23, and is expected to remain in place until 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25.

Crews from CSX will be on-site to complete necessary repairs to the railroad crossing at that location.

A marked detour will be in place to direct motorists around the construction zone. Local drivers are encouraged to plan for extra travel time or seek alternate routes through the downtown area during the three-day project.

All repair schedules are subject to weather conditions.
