WYANDOT COUNTY, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—On October 18, at 5:30 p.m., fans of the movie “The Shawshank Redemption” have a chance to step into one of the film’s iconic locations with a special event sponsored by the Wyandot County Visitors & Convention Bureau. The “Night at the Shawshank Woodshop” will include a catered meal and entertainment, culminating in a screening of the movie.

The event is a unique opportunity for fans to gather in the very place where portions of the 1994 film were shot. The evening’s catered meal will feature appetizers, salad, pesto-Alfredo pasta with vegetables and salmon, chicken in a mushroom and Marsala wine sauce, and a dessert bar. Wine will also be served.
