UPPER SANDUSKY, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—The Star Theatre is delighted to announce its holiday production, “Nativity! The Musical,” set to run from December 12 to 15, 2024. This heartwarming show follows the story of friends Paul, Jennifer, and Gordon, and two rival primary schools competing for a coveted 5-star review of their nativity performances.
The musical features unforgettable songs such as “Sparkle and Shine” and “Father Christmas,” alongside holiday classics like “Here Comes Santa Claus” and “We Wish You a Merry Christmas,” making it a standout production for the season.
“Nativity!” stars Ethan Korte as Paul Maddens, Amanda Barth as Jennifer Lore, Aaron Korte as Gordon Shakespeare, Wayne Rowe as Mr. Poppy, and Miranda Inglis as Mrs. Bevan. Featured roles include Mackenzi Thompson as Miss Rye, Jackson Moore as Critic Patrick Burns, Reid Barth as Lord Mayor, and Bobbi Korte as the producer and news reporter. The adult ensemble, comprised of Drew McClellan, Trish McClellan, Molly Smith, and Tanya Tracy, will sing and dance in various roles throughout the performance.
The cast also includes over 20 children from two primary schools. St. Bernadette’s Academy features Benjamin Schneider as Ollie, Benjamin Smith as Alfie, Harrison McClellan as TJ, Millie McClellan as Katelyn, Bo Frazee as Archie, and Evie Bramel as Lucy. Amaya Barth, Amelia Barth, Brody DeLong, Melanie DeLong, Kade Inglis, Amos McClellan, Crosby McClellan, Andrew Schneider, Lydia Schneider, and Audrey Smith make up St. Bernadette’s ensemble.
Oakmoor School students include Lucy Bower, Isla Crim, George Korte, Hope Korte, Micah Miller, Isabelle Smith, Alaina Tracy, Clara Tracy, Georgia Treadway, Kailyn Wolf, and Emma Zink.
Music Theatre International UK holds the rights for this production, with book and lyrics by Debbie Islitt, music by Debbie Islitt and Nicky Ager, and orchestration by George Dyer. The show is directed by Andrea Schneider with assistance from Abigail Smith, music direction from Dr. Matt Armstrong, and choreography by Nikki Needles.
