MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—The JerZee Drive In celebrated its 75th anniversary with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, June 26. Co-Owners Dean & Barb Pine and their daughter Staci, who became the third owners of The JerZee in January of 1996, were joined by Marion Area Chamber Ambassadors for the event.
The JerZee Drive In, located at 923 E Center St, Marion, has been a staple in the community since it first opened its doors in June of 1949.
To commemorate this milestone, The JerZee Drive In is hosting a community celebration on June 29 from 5 PM-9 PM. The event will feature a performance by “Omega Kick”. Regular-size hot dogs and small ice cream cones will be available at a special price while supplies last. Attendees are encouraged to bring a chair and enjoy an evening of great music, food, and desserts.
Dean & Barb, both lifetime residents of Marion, expressed their gratitude for their employees, past and present, and their loyal customers. “We love and appreciate all of our wonderful customers that we have had over the years,” said the Pines. They are also proud to be #MarionMade and Love Our City.
