MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW) — With the recent downpours, you may be feeling like a duck. But are you ready to be a Lucky Duck? The Marion County Historical Society (MCHS) is excited to announce its first-ever Lucky Duck Race, a community event set to make a splash.

The race will take place on Thursday, August 15, at 5:00 pm at the Lincoln Park Aquatic Center. Participants don’t need to be present to win, but they do need to purchase a duck—or several—to enter the race.

Ducks are available at the following rates:

  • $10 for 1 duck
  • $25 for 3 ducks
  • $50 for 10 ducks

Three lucky winners will be chosen:

  • 1st place prize is $500
  • 2nd place prize is $250
  • 3rd place prize is $50

This event presents a fantastic opportunity to support MCHS while having some fun. Ducks can be purchased online at marionhistory.com/lucky-duck-race or by calling 740-387-4255.

Don’t miss out on this chance to be a Lucky Duck while supporting local history. Quack, quack!
