GALION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—Tramec Sloan is looking for an experienced Legacy Hydromat Technician to join its manufacturing team in Galion, Ohio. The ideal candidate will handle daily operations, general maintenance, organizing, and training, requiring a strong understanding of Hydromat machines and leadership skills.
This full-time hourly position offers flexibility for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift, with opportunities for overtime. Pay is based on experience, with shift premiums for 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
- Set Up and Operation: Set up legacy Hydromat rotary transfer machines according to job specifications and engineering drawings. Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Monitor machine and line performance to ensure quality and consistency.
- Training: Work with operators to increase product and machine knowledge.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance on Hydromat machines to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues promptly to minimize downtime. Replace or repair machine parts as needed. Maintain accurate records of machine settings, maintenance activities, and production output. Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements:
- Technical training or certification in machining or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with Hydromat machines in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to train less experienced operators through a training program.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Strong communication, organizing, and leadership skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions:
- Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and machinery.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
