MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—The Principal of Marion’s Tri-Rivers Career Center issued a letter to parents following an incident early Friday afternoon. The explosion occurred in the Automotive Tech Lab, and two students were taken to Marion General Hospital.
Principal Chris Solis issued the following letter to the families of the student body:
Dear TRCC Families,
At approximately 1:50 pm today in our Auto Tech Lab, two of our students were involved in an accident and injured in the lab. Both students were transported to the hospital.
Our school’s crisis response team is handling the situation in a calm and compassionate manner. Additionally, members from the district flight team were in the building today. Please be assured that team members will continue to provide support for students and staff as long as a need exists.
We request that you continue to send your child to school on Monday, November 25, 2024. Remember that our school is the safest place for your child in an emergency and that your child’s welfare and safety is our top priority.
