MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—United Church Homes (UCH), a leading provider of senior living communities, is proud to announce that seven of its communities have been recognized as 2024 Silver – Achievement in Quality Award recipients by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL).

This prestigious award is the second of three distinctions possible through the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program, which honors organizations that meet progressively rigorous standards of performance to enhance the lives of residents and staff in long-term care.

For the first time in UCH’s history, seven communities have achieved this level of recognition. The communities honored with the Silver award are: The Trinity Community at Beavercreek, The Trinity Community at Fairborn, The Chapel Hill Community, The Parkvue Community, The Glenwood Community, The Four Winds Community, and SEM Haven.

“Earning the Silver award is an incredible honor,” said Rev. Dr. Ken Daniel, CEO of United Church Homes. “This achievement underscores our dedication to enhancing the quality of care and services we provide to our residents every day. We are proud of our progress and look forward to continuing our journey towards excellence.”

The National Quality Award Program has three progressive levels: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. At the Silver level, recipients have met the criteria for the Bronze award and can now move on to the final and most prestigious level of the program, the Gold – Excellence in Quality Award. Trained examiners review each application to determine if the center has met the rigorous criteria for the award.

“Earning the Silver award is no small feat, and United Church Homes has demonstrated exceptional commitment to quality improvement,” said Cathy Bergland, AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Board Chair. “This recognition is a clear reflection of their hard work and unwavering focus on delivering superior care and service to residents and staff.”

The National Quality Awards will be presented during the AHCA/NCAL Convention & Expo on October 6-9, 2024, in Orlando, Florida.
