SYCAMORE, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—The Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office and the Wyandot County Major Crimes Unit have launched an investigation into a suspicious death that occurred on County Highway 9, east of Township Highway 13, on April 22, 2025.
Deputies and personnel from the Mohawk Fire & EMS responded to the scene and discovered the body of a male lying on the roadway. The Wyandot County Coroner confirmed the individual was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Authorities are seeking assistance from the public to gather information related to this incident.
Investigators have identified video surveillance showing a light-colored SUV or station wagon traveling north on State Highway 231 before turning west onto County Highway 9 at approximately 11:34 PM on the night of the incident.
The vehicle may have sustained front-end damage due to its involvement in this case.
