MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—The Explore-It-Torium Children’s Museum in downtown Marion will host its annual tea party on Valentine’s Day.

Business Development Manager Kelsey Williams said the annual tea party was established by The Explore-It-Torium’s founder Cindy Binns, who “loved having kids and families come and enjoy time together” at the children’s museum.

“Cindy really loved having the tea parties,” Williams said. “She had a beautiful collection of tea sets and we still use her sets for our party each year. We let people come and choose the cup and plate they want for the party. It’s just a really fun time. We love hosting the tea party.”

Williams said the tea party attracts a broad range of people to The Explore-It-Torium.

“We have families with kids. We have groups of ladies. We have single dads or moms or grandparents with their kids. It’s just a lot of fun and we love seeing all the smiling faces,” Williams said.

The Explore-It-Torium’s annual tea party is scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Feb. 14. The children’s museum is located at 244 S. Main St. in downtown Marion.

Explore-It-Torium members will be admitted at no cost. Admission for non-members costs $6 per person. The admission fee includes the tea party and all-day access to the museum.
