MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—Senior Chief John Welch Jr., a retired Navy veteran with 30 years of service, will be laid to rest on Monday, February 12, 2024, at 1pm at Grand Prairie Cemetery. The funeral arrangements are being handled by Boyd Funeral Home, and the funeral procession will depart from the funeral home at 12:30 pm.
Greg White, a 30-year Air Force veteran, is calling on all Marion area veterans to gather at the entrance of Grand Prairie Cemetery at 12:30 pm on Monday, February 12, 2024, to pay tribute and honor Senior Chief Welch.
Grand Prairie Cemetery is located at 4964 Brush Ridge Drive North in Marion.
