MARION COUNTY, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—Bitter cold and biting wind chills will grip the region Saturday before a light dusting of snow moves in for the latter half of the weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, Saturday will remain sunny but frigid with a high near 12 degrees and northwest winds gusting as high as 23 mph, pushing wind chill values as low as -16. The sub-zero chill is expected to ease slightly Saturday night as clouds increase, bringing a 20% chance of snow after 1 a.m. and a low of 2.

The chance for snow continues into Sunday morning, primarily before 1 p.m., with total accumulations expected to remain under a half inch. Sunday will see a high near 21 degrees under mostly cloudy skies, followed by an overnight low of 9.

Sunday-A chance of snow, mainly before 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 21. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Sunday Night-Mostly cloudy, with a low around 9. Southeast wind 3 to 6 mph.
