MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW) —The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for portions of north-central and northwest Ohio, effective from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. EST on Sunday.

Snowfall is expected to accumulate between 2 to 5 inches, with wind gusts reaching up to 40 mph. The advisory warns of slippery road conditions and reduced visibility, urging residents to exercise caution while traveling.

The affected areas include the cities of Marion, Norwalk, Willard, Lorain, Avon Lake, Huron, Carey, Galion, Sandusky, Upper Sandusky, Mount Gilead, North Ridgeville, Elyria, Bucyrus, Crestline, Ashland, Cardington, and Mansfield.

Rain is forecasted to transition to snow from northwest to southeast between daybreak and midday on Sunday as colder air moves into the region. The combination of snow and high winds is likely to create hazardous travel conditions.
