MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—Residents of Marion County should prepare for a week of dramatic temperature swings and heavy rain, starting with record-challenging warmth before a cold front brings a chance of snow by Friday.
According to the latest forecast, Monday and Tuesday will remain unseasonably warm, with highs reaching 70 and 74 degrees, respectively. However, a powerful weather system is expected to move into the area Tuesday night, bringing widespread showers and thunderstorms.
The National Weather Service projects a 100 percent chance of precipitation on Wednesday, with rainfall amounts between three-quarters of an inch and one inch possible. Winds could gust as high as 32 mph.
