UPPER SANDUSKY, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—Wyandot County Public Health will resume its Walk-in Wednesday Flu and COVID-19 vaccination clinics in 2025, following a brief holiday break. The clinics, which are open to individuals ages six months and older, will restart on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2025, at the health department located at 127-A S. Sandusky Ave., Upper Sandusky.

The Walk-in Wednesday clinics will operate from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Wednesday. Available vaccines include the 2024-2025 trivalent flu vaccine and the 2024-2025 Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, both approved for ages six months and older. Additionally, high dose flu vaccines will be available for individuals aged 65 and older. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to receive vaccines.

In addition to the walk-in clinics, Wyandot County Public Health offers flu and COVID-19 vaccines, as well as other routine vaccines, by appointment-only on Mondays and Fridays. Appointments must be scheduled in advance by calling 419-294-3852, as times often fill up quickly.

Insurance cards are required for those intending to be vaccinated at any Wyandot County Public Health clinics. Individuals who are uninsured or underinsured may qualify for reduced cost vaccines. Eligibility for these reduced cost vaccines can be determined by contacting Wyandot County Public Health and inquiring about the Bridge Access Program for adults or the VFC program for children ahead of walk-in clinics and appointments.

Certain farm workers, due to the increased risk of occupational exposure to flu strains, may qualify for free flu vaccines. These individuals should call ahead to inquire about eligibility.
