MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—Wyandot Snacks, a leading private-label snack food manufacturer, has announced a significant $7.7 million investment to expand and modernize its production facility in Marion. The project will create 67 new jobs and retain the more than 260 existing positions at the site.

The investment will fund new machinery and equipment, enhancing the plant’s efficiency, productivity, and innovation. The expansion strengthens the company’s ability to meet growing consumer demand for high-quality snack products.

“For nearly a hundred years, Wyandot has been deeply rooted in Marion, and we are thrilled to reaffirm our commitment to this community with this investment,” said Lori Roberts, a senior executive at Wyandot Snacks. “This expansion strengthens our ability to deliver high-quality snack products while advancing our operations with cutting-edge technology.”

Marion Mayor Bill Collins highlighted the positive impact of the investment on the local community. “Wyandot has been a part of Marion for generations, providing good jobs and opportunities for our residents,” Collins said. “This expansion means even more families will have the chance to build a future here.”

The company’s decision to expand in Marion was supported by JobsOhio, the state’s private nonprofit corporation for economic development. JobsOhio President and CEO J.P. Nauseef noted the investment is a testament to the strength of Ohio’s workforce and business environment.

Wyandot Snacks, founded in 1936, supplies a wide range of snack products found on grocery store shelves across the U.S. This expansion reflects the company’s confidence in the Marion workforce and ensures long-term growth for the facility and the community.
