July 19, 1936Janice Ann Gosnell (Armstrong), age 88, of Marion, Ohio passed away on Friday, November 1, 2024, at the Presidential Acute Care Nursing Facility. Janice was born in Marion, on July 19, 1936, to the late Harry L. and Virginia Ruth Armstrong. In 1952 Janice married the love of her life, the late Merle Gosnell. At the age of 65 Janice went back to school and got her G.E.D. to show her grandchildren that it is never too late to get an education.
Janice was a loving woman that enjoyed spending time with her family. She was especially fond of her grandchildren and would spend as much time as she could with them. The holidays were especially important to her and the meals she prepared were always a hit. So loved to cook so much that she worked as a cook for over 10 years. The dish she was best known for was her beef and noodles. She enjoyed doodling and would draw whenever she could.
Janice is preceded in death by, son, Roger J. Gosnell, brothers Jack (Sharon) Armstrong, and John Armstrong, and grandsons, Brett Michael Haire and Brian Michael Moore.
Left to cherish Janice’s memory are, sons Gary L. (Jackie) and Keith A. (Karen) Gosnell, daughters, Tammy Sue (Michael) Moore and Debra Ann Haire, brother, Steven G. (Val) Armstrong, grandchildren Kevin (Alice) and Roger J. Gosnell, and Rebecca Ruth Moore, six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation of Janice Wednesday, November 6, 2024 from 11am until 1pm at the Boyd Funeral Home. The funeral service for Janice will be taking place at The Boyd Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at 1pm. The Boyd Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the family of Janice Gosnell in their time of mourning.
