Police Calls

During a routine patrol on Sunday night, Marion Police Officer Greer stopped a vehicle for operating without functioning taillights. Upon initiating contact with the driver, she requested assistance from K9 Shanel for a free air sniff of the vehicle.

Marion City Police responded to a disturbance call in the 400 block of Lynn Drive at 2:23 a.m. on February 1, 2025.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is alerting residents to a recent scam involving a fraudulent phone call from an individual posing as a Lieutenant from their office.
