MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—Foxglove Hollow Home Decor, a specialty shop in downtown Marion, is celebrating its first anniversary this Saturday with giveaways, treats, and a door prize.

Owner Beth Fox spoke about her store, which offers a variety of home decor items and gifts, including floral arrangements, bath products, coffee, and handbags.

Fox emphasized the personal touch her store provides, contrasting it with larger retail chains. She has designed the store to resemble a home, featuring a living room-style front, a kitchen area, and a greenhouse in the back.

“I kind of set up the store to make it look more so the front of the store looks like a living room and then it’s like a little kitchen type area,” Fox said. “We have an iron clawfoot tub that has like bath spa stuff on it and we have a big greenhouse in the back of the store.”

Fox, who has a passion for interior decorating, opened the store after encouragement from her husband. She sought advice from a mentor with experience in the home decor business.

Located across from the Palace Theatre and next to the Harding Centre, Foxglove Hollow aims to provide unique items and personalized service. Fox encourages customers to visit her store for help with paint colors, art selection, and other decorating needs.

“I just love hearing about people’s houses and see what they’re doing and helping them find what they want,” Fox said.

The store is open Wednesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fox plans to launch online sales later this year.
