MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—The Marion Palace Theatre is set to host a weekend of laughs with the new film, The Naked Gun (2025). Presented by the Palace Cultural Arts Association, the reboot of the classic comedy will be shown on the big screen from Friday, Aug. 29, through Sunday, Aug. 31.

The film introduces audiences to Lieutenant Frank Drebin Jr., who attempts to follow in his father’s legendary and chaotic footsteps. Facing the potential closure of his police department, Drebin Jr. must solve a major case to save the day, leading to a series of hilarious and slapstick-filled misadventures.

Showtimes are scheduled for Friday at 7:30 p.m., Saturday at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The Sunday matinee screening at 2:00 p.m. will be shown with open captions.

Tickets are available for purchase at the door only, starting 45 minutes before each showtime. General admission is $5, while PCAA members with a valid card can enter for $3. Concessions, including soda, water, candy, and popcorn, will be available for $3 each.

The film is rated PG-13 and has a run time of approximately 1 hour and 25 minutes.
