CALEDONIA, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—River Valley High School senior Kennedy Rensch was named the Scholar Student of the Week and awarded a $500 scholarship from Ohio State Marion. The award was presented by Ashley Marsh, Director of Enrollment at Ohio State Marion, along with students Alexis Howell, Sumahasini Addala, and Neveah Peters, River Valley graduates. This honor recognizes students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, leadership, and dedication to both school and community involvement.
Rensch continually goes above and beyond in the classroom and on the court, maintaining an outstanding academic record while contributing as a key member of the first doubles squad on the tennis team. In addition, Rensch serves as a student leader, volunteering time and energy at school events where helping hands are needed.
Outside of school, Rensch enjoys playing tennis, reading, and spending time with friends. Rensch credits her mother and teachers as her greatest supporters, who have inspired a commitment to excellence and the drive to reach full potential.
After graduation, Rensch plans to attend The Ohio State University at Marion to study psychology or veterinary sciences. The River Valley community is incredibly proud of these accomplishments and looks forward to seeing all the amazing things ahead!
Each Scholar Student of the Week honoree receives a $500 scholarship and is entered into a drawing for a chance to win an additional $1,000 scholarship at the end of the academic year. The program will continue throughout the football and basketball seasons, recognizing outstanding students across the region.
Congratulations, Rensch — keep up the outstanding work! 🎉
